What is a forest cemetery?

Life Celebration Green Cemetery is a cultural and community-based project, which envisions a different approach to the way we think about death.

We use an egg-shaped pod, an ancient and perfect form, made of biodegradable material, where our departed loved ones are placed for burial.

The urn will then be buried as a seed in the earth. A tree, chosen in life by the deceased, will serve as a marker for the urn as a memorial for the departed and as a legacy for posterity and the future of our planet. On the tree, we will add a QR code with their name so that friends and families can scan and see our website with all the information of the person.

Cemeteries will acquire a new look and, instead of the cold gray landscape we see today, they will grow into vibrant woodlands.

Our Simple Process

Step 1

Arrangements

Together, we decide on what the burial of the ashes will look like for you. Then, we organize a shipping or a pick up for the biodegradable urn. We can ship directly to the cremator. You can also come and pick it up.

Step 2

Return Ashes

Once the ashes are securely placed in the urn, you can return the ashes to us before the burial ceremony or we can store them for you until the burial.

Burial

We will help organize your burial ceremony to your vision. We take care of the physical burial for you and attach the marker on the chosen tree that will mark the location of the ashes.

Our pricing

Our fees include a burial plot, fees to bury the urn, a plot marker, and a one-time endowment to a perpetual care fund to maintain the property as a natural burial site.
